Jaume Doménech: "We believe we can go through in the second leg"
Valencia CF's ever-present in the Copa del Rey this season, Jaume Domenech, spoke after the 1-0 defeat against Getafe and expressed his belief that the team can fight back in the second leg.
Jaume had made three great saves from Ángel Rodriguéz in the final stages of the first half, before Jorge Molina eventually scored late in the second period.
"I think that in the first 30 minutes we had the game under control, but in the final ten minutes of the first half Getafe had a lot of chances. After the break there was little football on display and they scored from a one-off opportunity," he said following the game.
"We knew that it was going to be a difficult game, and we came here with the idea of scoring at least a goal, but the 'Mestalla factor' in the second leg will be decisive and we believe that we can come back there."
"We'd come into this game off two victories and with the hope of making it three, but it wasn't to be. Next Tuesday, at home, I'm sure that we will turn the tie around. We will have a great chance of going through at Mestalla."
